C. Scott Miller
Scott Miller is a digital marketing strategist committed to helping electrical contractors and non-profits supercharge their businesses by employing effective digital media, strategies, design, and development. In addition to working with top utilities and engineering companies in Los Angeles he is also a founding member of the San Fernando Valley Branch of the U.S. Green Building Council of Greater Los Angeles.
Scott is a native Californian who earned his BA from Cornell University as well as a Masters in Business Administration in 2010. He worked for General Electric as an Account Executive and Sales Manager to utilities, engineering companies, and Fortune 500 clients in Los Angeles.
He co-founded Miller De Wulf Corporation in 1994. Its mission has been to provide marketing, communications, consulting, and computer graphics training services. Starting with a ten year consultancy with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, he designed special program workflows and implemented media projects for the Getty Conservation Institute, United Way, Wells Fargo Bank, and Xerox Corp, USA. He was awarded certification as an Electronic Document Professional (EDP) by Xplor International in 2004.
Through his many blogs, Constant Contact emails, and eZines, Scott has become a digital marketing strategist and thought leader in renewable energy for the Washington, DC based American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE). He has been an active participant at over 70 international sustainability conferences as a spokesman for renewable energy and waste conversion technologies. He also hosted workshops on social media marketing for renewable industry companies.
Over the past two years he has worked for SolarCity, the largest residential and commercial solar PV installer in the United States. He also worked with energy contractor RenewAge of Culver City, a Department of Water and Power trade ally for auditing and installing energy efficiency and water conservation technologies. Scott established iPLUG Media to apply his knowledge and direct experience to business development for electrical contractors – building brand recognition and reputation, identifying prospects and converting them into customers. His aim is to help his clients become more net profitable and expand their base of business each year .
